A father has a significant role in establishing the personalities, values, and future lives of his children. A father plays a far more important role than being simply a provider; a father's guidance, emotional support, and strength enables children to deal with the demands of life. The presence of a strong father figure can impact a child’s confidence, discipline, and development.
1. Emotional Support and Security
A strong father provides children with emotional stability and security. When a child feels that he or she has a reliable figure to engage with, a sense of trust and safety is developed. A father’s presence creates the bond of family. He develops familial bonds as he engages in daily routines, family practices, and attendance at milestones in their child’s life. Children who participate in an active father it is my belief will develop relationship skills, a sense of empathy, as well as respect for other human beings.
5. Inculcating Values and Values
Fathers are paramount for instilling values and discipline. A father who provides continuity from the time his child emerged into their family develops limits and builds moral ideology to help children determine right from wrong. This framework of discipline and ethics leads to the long-term behavioral outcomes of a child into adulthood.
6. Supporting Mothers and Creating Balance
A strong father also supports the mother and helps create balance in the home. When each parent takes care of responsibilities and respects the other, children are raised in a stable, healthy household that affects them positively in terms of emotional and social development.
